CHECKOUT EXPERIENCES
GROUP 4
Moved their personal stuff out before starting the cleaning and then followed the 'Checkout Guide' taking two days to clean the house. They then checked the inventory to ensure each area was up to the same standard as at the start of the tenancy (just as we will do).
Replacement for a cracked fridge shelf was ordered in good time.
Mattress protector was torn, so it was replaced with a new one left in a packet on bed. Stair carpet was shampooed with a Rug Doctor, which was hired well in advance.
Replaced a mouldy/stained shower curtain.
All wheelie bins and containers were emptied on a collection day and cleaned.
Each person washed, ironed or dry cleaned their own curtains and mattress protector.
Agreed who would clean curtains, furniture covers and bathroom mats in common areas.
Window cleaner for the external windows was sorted in good time for the checkout.
All light bulbs were checked and replaced before the checkout.
Damaged light pull-switch cord replaced.
Someone was responsible for checking all keys would be available at the checkout.
Bag of last minute rubbish was taken off the property, just before the checkout.
This was a well organised group and there was
no compensation to us at the end of their tenancy
The next group had very little to do at the end of the tenancy.
