CHECKOUT EXPERIENCES
GROUP 1
Each member of the group left at different times. They agreed who would be reponsible for cleaning a section of the house, including their own room.
One person was at the checkout, who found the others hadn't cleaned what they said they would clean! Many cleaning issues remained including more attention to the hob, oven and bathroom and the stair carpet wasn't shampooed. Unexpectedly another person's mattress was stained.
With no time to rectify the situation at the checkout the group compensated us to bring the cleaning up to the standard at the start of the tenancy (some things cannot be sorted instantly e.g. shampooing carpets) and further compensation towards a new mattress.
You should avoid 'surprises' at the checkout
by pointing out any known damage
before the start of the inspection
Our advice is to carefully check all cleaning a couple of days before the checkout, as unexpected things can and do happen
The next group had an unexpected shock at their checkout!
