Guarantor Deed Notes

 

Please read these important notes before completing the Deed of Guarantee

 

11.  Replacement Tenants
The guarantee will end if the Guaranteed Tenant leaves the tenancy and a suitable replacement full-time student, approved by both the remaining tenants and the landlord, takes their place (assignment) or a new tenancy agreement is entered into.

 

12.  Demand for Payment
If the tenant fails to pay any sums due, we may make a written demand to you. You will then be required to pay any sums properly due under the Deed of Guarantee. 

 

13.  Completing the Deed
Please complete all details on page 4, including the date in pen. The Deed takes effect from this date.

 

14.  Independent Witness
Your witness must be over 18, not a relative and be physically present when you sign. The witness must observe you signing the Deed before signing it themselves.

 

15.  If You Make a Mistake

If you make any mistake when completing this Deed, including a spelling error or entering information in the wrong place, please complete a new copy. Do not make any alterations, corrections or amendments to the Deed.

 

16.  Returning Completed Documents

To ensure your documents arrive safely and on time, Guarantors in the UK and Ireland send the original completed documents by tracked post to: (enter landlord name and address) 

 

Overseas guarantors email scanned copies of the completed documents as attachments to: (enter landlord email address)
