Guarantor Deed Notes

 

Please read these important notes before completing the Deed of Guarantee

 

9. Demand for Payment
If the tenant fails to pay any sums due under the tenancy and covered by the Deed, we may make a written demand. The Guarantor must pay any sums properly due under the Deed within 14 days of a written demand. 

 

10. Completing the Deed and Independent Witness

Complete all details on page 4, including the date. Your witness must be aged over 18, independent of you and not related to you, not living at your address and not a prospective tenant. The witness must be physically present when you sign and must observe you signing the Deed before signing and completing the witness details themselves. Both the Guarantor and witness must sign with a pen; remote or video witnessing is not valid.

 

11. If You Make a Mistake

If you make any mistake when completing this Deed, including a spelling error or entering information in the wrong place, complete a new copy. Do not make any alterations, corrections or amendments to the Deed.

12. Final Checks

Before returning the Deed, check you have signed the bottom of the first three pages and fully completed page 4.

 

13. Returning the Completed Documents

To help ensure your documents arrive safely, UK and Ireland guarantors should return the original completed two documents by tracked post to: (enter landlord name and address) 

 

Overseas guarantors email scanned copies of the completed two documents as attachments to: (enter landlord email address)
