Please read these important notes before

completing the Guarantor Application Form

 

1. Guarantor Requirements

A guarantor should:

a) Be aged over 21.

b) *Preferably be a homeowner.

c) Have an annual gross income of at least £25,000.

d) Have no current or recent adverse credit history, including Individual Voluntary Arrangements (IVAs), County Court Judgments (CCJs) or bankruptcy or their equivalent in other jurisdictions.

2. *Non-Homeowners

We may accept a guarantor who is not a homeowner, where they otherwise meet our requirements.

3. Application Review

Once your completed form is received, we will either accept the application or submit the application to a tenant referencing company for an independent assessment of your suitability to act as guarantor. If further information or supporting documents are required, we will contact you separately.

4. Employer Contact Details

Where possible, in the employer contact details in Section 3 of the Guarantor Application Form, please provide the details of a senior person who is authorised to confirm your employment and income, such as an HR Manager, Finance Manager or Accountant. If applicable, please advise the employer contact that a tenant referencing company may contact them. The employer contact should respond promptly to any request for information.

5. Self-Employed, Retired or Independent Means

If you are self-employed, retired or supported by independent means, the tenant referencing company may request additional evidence of your financial circumstances. For example, this may include accounts, evidence from an accountant, pension documentation, self-assessment tax returns or other evidence of income and/or assets.
