END OF TENANCY
PROFESSIONAL DEEP CLEAN
We do not recommend or take a referral fee ('kickback') from any company, charity, contractor, organisation or product.
'Done and Dusted' has been engaged by many of our student groups in the past for a successful end of tenancy deep clean. They supply all equipment, cleaning materials and clean nearly everything.
You will still need to wash or dry clean your curtains, loose furniture covers, mattress protectors, bath mats etc. You could also shampoo your own carpet(s) with a borrowed hot water extraction cleaner or hire a Rug Doctor from a local supermarket or alternatively you could ask 'Done and Dusted' to supply a professional carpet cleaner.
'DONE AND DUSTED'
An end of tenancy professional deep clean is good value. It costs from £80 per person and includes all rooms/areas in the house, the oven, hob, fridge/freezer, kitchen extractor hood, microwave, behind, around and underneath appliances and furniture etc. It usually takes four cleaners one day to deep clean a house. For best results show them the 'Checkout Guide'.
'Done and Dusted' also have access to other specialist people. For example your wheelie bins could be professionally cleaned onsite and your external windows and ledges cleaned by a window cleaner.

Terry and Maggie - North Leamington Spa Private Student Landlords
1) Tenants increasingly use professional cleaners at the end of their tenancy. It can save your group hours of time. It usually avoids issues such as:
a) A range of group cleaning standards.
b) Allocating a share of the cleaning to people who leave at different times.
c) The final clean of common areas usually being left to one or two people.
d) Minimises unforeseen cleaning problems, which can and do occur!
e) A last minute panic, when you discover items that haven't been cleaned.
f) End of tenancy compensation to us to clean to the original check-in standard.
2) Obtain a quote and order your clean as early as possible. This is a busy time of the year for professional cleaners.
3) Show them our student 'Checkout Guide'. Check they will clean everything you want them to clean e.g. appliances, wheelie bins, recycling containers and external windows.
4) STRONGLY RECOMMEND all your belongings are removed from the house prior to cleaning.
5) Be VERY FIRM about the date you want the professional clean. Tell them your checkout day.
6) IT'S IMPORTANT TO INSPECT THE CLEANING ON COMPLETION. Allow a couple of working days for your inspection and any snagging issues to be sorted by the company before your checkout day.
7) Clean carpets at least 3 days before your checkout, so they have time to dry.
