TENANT CHECKOUT TICK LIST

GENERAL

Return hired items.

Empty vacuum cleaner. If necessary, clean/replace filters.

Replace dead batteries in for example. clock and doorbell.

We read utility meters for your final bills at your checkout.

Give utility companies a forwarding address for final bills.

Obtain a receipt for final bills. See tenancy agreement.

Leave keys and any keys cut in kitchen or in the key cabinet. Replace damaged/missing fobs.

Check all window keys are in place.

Leave any cleaning/hire receipts in kitchen.

Leave House Handbook and Appliance Instructions on a table.

Check fire extinguishers and fire blanket are clean and in position.

Check external lighting is in working order.

Replace dead lightbulbs throughout the house.

Clean small items - desk lamp, laundry basket, food caddy etc.

Clean all external windows, ledges, doors and thresholds.

Clean wheelie bins and containers with soapy water. Leave empty at the checkout. You compensate us for missing and/or damaged wheelie bins and food waste containers.

All other rubbish is removed from the property.

You may leave reasonable extra coat hangers, cleaning materials.

Do not leave electrical items such as toasters, kettles, irons or food, herbs crockery, cutlery, utensils etc..

Leave you leave your forwarding addresses in the kitchen to encourage the new tenants to redirect your post.

 

KITCHEN/UTILITY ROOM

FRIDGES AND FREEZERS

Switch off. Remove and dispose of any remaining food.

American fridge/freezer drinking water container should be empty, clean and dry.

Clean seal around door(s), including between seal creases.

Remove shelves and containers, wash, dry and replace.

Clean surfaces inside and out and floor underneath and behind.

It's very important to leave door(s) ajar when cleaned.

 

WALLS AND CEILING

Wipe food and marks off walls and ceilings.

Remove any cobwebs. Check ceiling corners.

Clean wall tiles, including behind the cooker, hob and splash back.

Remove any mould/stains by treating grout between tiles.
